When Andrew and Rachael took over the Centre in December 2019, the playground did not comply with National Preschool Play Ground Standards – meaning it was not safe. So a big project has been to have this structure removed and replaced with a more natural environment of grass and moveable objects. After a huge effort of diggers and human man power the playground is transforming – and will continue to do so over a few stages.

Rachael and her team are committed to providing a learning programme that is child led and continually evolving. Following the National Curriculum Te Whāriki for Early Childhood Education, the team has introduced an environment of rich learning experiences and routines with warm and trusting relationships between teachers and children. We have:
