We are super excited that Diwali is just around the corner and we are getting our classrooms ready. Being the festival of lights, we are creating all sorts of art works full of colour, decorating our rooms, preparing dress up days. Our Indian families are joining us in our planning and sharing their own knowledge with us, a very valued contribution to our Ako Rolleston culture and we have someone from our local community coming in to teach us some bollywood dancing and henna for those who are keen .
We can wait for these celebrations to begin with many more experiences on the go as we prepare.
