Wāhi Ako Pihinga Tahi

Wāhi Ako Pihinga Rua

Child centered focus, enabling us to bring out the best in your child.

Wāhi Ako Pihinga Tahi, the first of our over two’s classrooms, our name comes from our older tamariki being likened to Pihinga – shoots / young plant that still requires nurturing and care, however also needs air to breathe and extend their shoots into the wide world.

Consultation with whānau and Kaiako has outlined an importance of small group sizes and an attention to each ākonga making this name perfect for this space.

Being a small classroom of just 14 tamariki this is a great space for tamariki to learn a liittle more abouot the world around them, develop new friendships and often learn all about being part of preschool life.

Being part of Wāhi Ako Pihinga Tahi gives tamariki the opportunity to develop some of those foundations for learning that will set them up nicely for Wāhi Ako Pihinga Rua and beyond.
